Who are we

Oolong (乌龙 / 烏龍 – Wūlóng) literally translates to:

“Black Dragon.”

• 乌 / 烏 (wū) = black / dark

• 龙 / 龍 (lóng) = dragon

Founded by Stephanie Lam, OOLONG is a Hong Kong–rooted jewellery brand shaped by nature and cultural memory. Drawing from the city’s unique relationship between mountains and urban life, the brand reinterprets traditional jade jewellery through a contemporary lens.

At its core, OOLONG works with jade, often sourced as off-cut material from local Hong Kong factories, alongside diamonds, pearls, and precious metals. These elements are brought together through both traditional techniques, such as Chinese knotting, and refined modern settings, creating a balance between heritage and restraint.

Inspired by ridgelines, elevation, and the rhythm of moving through mountainous landscapes, each piece reflects a quiet sense of place. From Hong Kong’s peaks to shifting environments beyond, OOLONG is designed to be worn across contexts, carrying with it a sense of grounding, movement, and identity.
