Who are we

Oolong (乌龙 / 烏龍 – Wūlóng) literally translates to:

“Black Dragon.”

• 乌 / 烏 (wū) = black / dark

• 龙 / 龍 (lóng) = dragon

Founded by Stephanie Lam, OOLONG is a jewellery brand rooted in Hong Kong heritage and shaped by nature. Drawing from the city’s unique relationship between mountains and urban life, OOLONG reinterprets traditional jade jewellery through a contemporary lens.

The collection is crafted using off-cut jade sourced from local factories, giving new life to materials that would otherwise be left behind. Traditional Chinese knotting techniques are incorporated into each design, honouring heritage craftsmanship while embracing a modern, minimal aesthetic.

Inspired by ridgelines, elevation, and movement through mountainous landscapes, OOLONG reflects a deep connection to place, from Hong Kong’s peaks to the journeys that follow. Designed to be worn anywhere, the pieces invite you to carry a sense of home, nature, and identity with you, wherever you are and wherever you come from.
