Care and Maintenance

A note on jade

Jade is a natural stone valued for its strength and subtlety. Each piece carries its own variations in colour and texture, which are part of its character and beauty.

Wearing your piece

OOLONG jewellery is designed to be worn often, but with intention. We recommend removing your piece before swimming, showering, exercising, or sleeping, to preserve both the stone and its setting over time.

Cleaning

To refresh your jewellery, gently wipe with a soft cloth. When needed, a light rinse with lukewarm water is sufficient. Avoid chemicals, abrasive materials, or ultrasonic cleaners, which may compromise the natural surface of the jade and metal finishes.

Water & moisture

Occasional contact with water will not harm jade. However, prolonged exposure to moisture, soaps, or chemicals may affect metal components and knotting over time. Allow your jewellery to dry fully before storing.

Storage

Store your jewellery in a soft pouch or jewellery box, away from direct sunlight and humidity. Avoid contact with harder materials to prevent scratches.

Natural variations

Each jade stone is unique. Variations in tone, translucency, and texture are inherent to the material and are celebrated as part of the design.

Longevity

With mindful care, your jewellery will age gracefully, reflecting time, movement, and personal history.
